Julia Parker, Coastal Pomo Tribe, married into the Paiute Family of Lucy Telles of Yosemite Valley. Some of her teachers were elders from the Eastern Sierra, including Carrie Bethel, a well-known Mono Lake Paiute, and the famous Washoe basket weaver, Dat So La Lee.
